The September Imagine Main Street was smashing . . and imaginative . . and fun for the whole family with artists, vendors, exhibitors up and down the street from Bissell to School! Landmark Cafe offered a great drink special only on Imagine Nights, other restaurants participated as well as many of the downtown businesses and we thank them for that!
We’re getting the 2017 season in shape, so your ideas and participation are welcome. Write to us at email@example.com to get involved!
Imagine a community where arts and culture are celebrated, well, that’s Manchester. So enjoy every activity and support as you can. Volunteers are always needed and we’d love to hear from you!
Imagine Main Street began its arts and cultural happenings in June of 2012. An ever-growing number of artists, artisans and musicians have participated in the events drawing hundreds of visitors to the Downtown area. The collaborative spirit and vision of these events has increased the vitality of the downtown and the cultural vibrancy of the area. These events have often been street wide festivals including art vendors, horse drawn carriages, music, zumba demonstrations, dance performances, street performers, ceramic demonstrations and sales, garden displays, poetry readings and magician performances , a pub crawl, wine tasting, restaurant specials . The collaborative efforts of the events have inspired many new projects.
We’ve added ways to continually bring funds into our organization to keep our activities fresh and exciting and promote them to a wider audience. Look for the Imagine Art Sale inside MCC on Main during special Imagine Main Street nights, where you’ll find wonderful art works, donated by local artists. They’ll be wrapped in paper, so you can only Imagine what’s inside. We ask you to take a chance on art, to support Imagine Main Street. Paintings, prints, photography, jewelry, ceramics . .. who knows what might be in there, maybe even edible art! The value will be placed on the piece, purchases must be made in cash or check made payable to Imagine Main Street. Thank you to the artists for their donation, including: Scott Pearcy, Peter Polomski, Jane Rainwater, Sue Lipinor, Susan Barlow, Mulberry Street Pizza (we told you there would be edible art), and Dot Drobney, and to those of you who will buy with your imagination, for your support!
Thank you also to those who support IMS by putting their greeting or business card on our event maps: First Niagara Bank, Sinclair Risk and Financial Management, E.M. Dougan Art and Framing, Sean’s Fine Jewelry, Primary Residential Mortgage and 41 Closets Consignment. We are grateful for your faith and support! Please patronize their businesses.
